deadmau5 set to perform FREE show at Ice Palace in Miami

Deadmau5 to perform in Kuala Lumpur in the Future Music Festival next month.

Deadmau5 is set to return to Miami to perform a free show for his fans. Earlier in the year, deadmau5 expressed his grievance about an event of his which featured VIP/table crowd. The Ice Palace in Miami is a 60,000 square foot studio space and warehouse and can accommodate 4,000 guests for an all access show.

The venue reached out to deadmau5 in an open letter which reads:

Katy Perry’s “Dark Horse” Grammy Performance

katy-perry-zoomIt certainly was an unusual performance, but Katy Perry rocked it! During the 56th Grammy Awards last night Perry performed a surprisingly dark version of Dark Horse with Juicy J.

During the show Katy danced against witch’s brooms like it was a dance pole and at the end a circle of fire surrounded surrounded the singer.  The dark performance was inspired by Stevie Nicks of Fleetwood Mac.

Perry described Dark Horse during an MTV interview:

“ It’s got me, a pop artist, with a little bit of an urban kind of hip-hop-flavored background soundtrack to it, and the lyrics are kind of witchy and dark, as if I was a witch warning this man not to fall in love with me, and, if you do, know I’m going to be your last.”
