Prisoners and Audience Jailed at the Breakout Dance Comedy – Singapore

breakout1

This video shows lots of breakdancing. But this was not the case…

Extremely Lame Breakout Dance Comedy

I expected the dance comedy to be filled with great break dancing and hip hop. The element of humor should be incorporated in the dance or during the acting.

The story starts with the 5 prisoners in jail and they have bonded really well together. So one day the managed to break out of jail and the police was chasing them. They showed comrade and helped each other out throughout the journey.

The problem here with the show is that the police and theif catching was endless and the show remained as silly throughout. There were no fresh ideas, everything we have seen is being used. They even found a church with nuns and a mother. The prisoners were stealing bread/food at the church and the mother keep catching them. THERE ARE POLICE AFTER THE PRISONERS ALREADY, WHY IS THERE ANOTHER MOTHER CHASING AFTER THEM FOR HER STOLEN BREAD!

Enough of running and sneaking around. I’m super bored. Bored from the start, expecting something big to happen but didn happen, Super disappointed at the end. Really glad it ended.

I WANT A REFUND FOR IT!

WASTED MY TIME ON THIS SILLY STUPID AND NON-CREATIVE SO-CALLED DANCE AND BAD COMEDY.

What was the beach scene for?? For the ladies to change into their nun costumes? What was the church scene for? For another round of chasing?? Gosh… NVM, i’m just glad it is over.

Seems like i’m not the only one who feels this way…

Extracted from Guardian,

“The piece also looks weirdly overproduced, with a constant turnover of near-irrelevant props, not all of which were functioning on the opening night. This was an upbeat and boisterous occasion (at least in the bar beforehand), with a large part of the audience there for the break-dancing which the promo video led you to believe is an integral part of the show. It isn’t. “

I SHOULD HAVE DONE MY RESEACH BEFORE PURCHASING TICKETS TO THE SHOWS. ADVERTISEMENTS ARE NON-REPRESENTATIVE OF THE TRUTH AND ARE DECEIVING.
